What German Language level do I need to go to Germany?

✅ For FSJ in Germany (Freiwilliges Soziales Jahr):
You need at least B2 German language level skills. This allows you to communicate with colleagues and clients in a care or social work setting, but module requirements vary by employer:

Some demand all 4 modules (Speaking, Writing, Listening, Reading) certified through Goethe, TELC, or ÖSD
Others accept 1 or 2 modules
A few may accept 0 modules

✅ For Ausbildung Courses in Germany (Dual Vocational Training):
Most employers require B2 German level skills. This ensures you’re ready for professional training in fields like nursing, hotel management, sales, or technical trades. How many modules you exactly need to start an Ausbildung in Germany varies per employer. For nursing Ausbildung for example many employers demand all 4 German B2 modules (Speaking, Writing, Listening, Reading) certified through Goethe, TELC, or ÖSD. For Sales assistant Ausbildung, Baker Ausbildung or Butcher Ausbildung the requirements are often that you need only 0, 1 or 2 B2 modules.

✅ For university studies (Bachelor or Master):
